Come and see the restored Western Bank Library Exhibition Gallery! Thanks to a generous grant from the Wolfson Foundation, a major bequest from a former graduate and many smaller donations to the University's Alumni Foundation, this attractive space has been restored to the condition it was in when the Grade II listed building opened in 1959, and upgraded with 21st century systems.

Our next exhibition, opening in November, will be called "The Wonderful Mr. Willughby's New Natural History"
It will celebrate the life and work of seventeenth century naturalist and scientist Francis Willughby.
The exhibition showcases the research of Professor Tim Birkhead (Animal & Plant Sciences) and Professor Emeritus Mark Greengrass (History), and presents rare books and original documents from the unique and distinctive collections held by the Universities of Sheffield and Nottingham alongside natural history specimens from the Alfred Denny Museum.
