There are five library sites at the University of Sheffield, each site has a range of study spaces, so you can choose the space that’s best for you. All library sites have networked PC’s, WiFi, printers and photocopiers.

Check out our 360° Virtual tours.

Access and Evacuation

We have some detailed guidance including all the Access and Evacuation information you might need for all library sites. These pages include links to guides from AccessAble.

Tours and inductions

You can arrange an induction and tour of any of the Library sites, in which staff can advise you on the best ways to access resources, and also practical matters such as emergency evacuation procedures. A one to one advice session with a subject librarian can also be arranged. If you would like to take advantage of any of these options, please contact the Inclusive Learning team.

Bookable assistive spaces

Some students are registered to book Assistive Spaces, many of which are equipped with Assistive software and technology. If you feel that this service would benefit you please contact the Inclusive Learning Team.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs trained by members of Assistance Dogs (UK) or by an equivalent organisation in another country, have formal identification and are permitted to accompany their owners at all times and in all places within the UK (unless there is a genuine health and safety risk) including University buildings.

Please see The University's Assistance Dogs Policy for more information.
