Research Commons

The Research Commons

The Research Commons (on Level 5 of Western Bank Library) is an interdisciplinary, open space designed for collaborative discussion and research. The Research Commons is designed to facilitate creative working in a neutral space, and can be used for general study or hosting research events.

Between 17 June - 31 October 2025, we will be undertaking essential work on the lift at Western Bank Library. As a result, Level 5 and the Research Commons will not be accessible without using the stairs, and there may be some noise disruption on site as this work is completed.
