How to apply

Please speak to your school about arranging a visit.

They can contact us by email: schoolsliaison@sheffield.ac.uk.

Schools and colleges

We welcome local schools and colleges to visit the Library, for tours and for librarian-led workshops, where you can develop skills and learn more about our unique and original library collections.

We aren’t accepting general applications from school and college students at this time.

We have an exciting online resource to support students in years 12 and 13. See our research skills and critical thinking tutorials for school and college students to develop your skills and enhance your academic work, while also supporting your transition to university level study.

Extended project qualification

Some students may also want to make use of library content, particularly to support student-led research projects, such as the EPQ.

Please contact us by email: schoolsliaison@sheffield.ac.uk.

Students who have visited the Library for a tour or librarian-led workshop may ask their teachers, school librarians, or other responsible adults to fill in this form to allow them to visit Western Bank Library.
