Entry requirements

Typical offer: AAB-AAA (including Mathematics)

For the following four and five-year courses, we ask for AAA at A Level (including Mathematics) or equivalent:

  • MMath Mathematics
  • MMath Mathematics and Statistics
  • MMath Mathematics with a Year Abroad
  • All BSc and MMath courses with a Placement Year

For all of our other courses, we ask for AAB at A Level, or equivalent, with the following additional requirements:

  • One of your A grades should be in Mathematics
  • For Mathematics with Study in Europe, you should also have a qualification in a language relevant to the country you plan to study in (see below)
  • For Mathematics with French, German or Spanish, one of your A levels should be in the language you plan to study for your degree

International pathway programme

If you are an international student who does not meet our entry requirements, our International College offers an International Foundation Year in Science and Engineering. The programme is designed to develop your academic level in your chosen subject, introduce you to the study skills that will be vital to success and help with language if you need it.
