Scope: This is a collection of promotional photographs from Rhyl pleasure beach and a large number of plans for Rhyl and associated parks. This includes Battersea festival of Britain, the Battersea Amusement Park and client parks for whom Rhyl built water chute structures.

Administrative / biographical history: Ted Lightbown is active in the archive movement in Blackpool, having responsibility for both the Pleasure Beach and the Winter Gardens collections. He works in this capacity with his wife Anne. Ted and Anne's efforts have enabled many local heritage projects to gather momentum.
