Lucy Elam

After working in Banking for 27 years, I joined the University of Sheffield 3 years ago. My first role was as a Student Support Assistant in the Materials Science and Engineering Department and I joined the Schools Liaison Team in January. My main responsibilities are to provide admin support to the schools team, respond to enquiries sent to the schools liaison email address, book and arrange our attendance at UCAS Exhibitions and represent the University on our open days.

As a parent of a child who has just made his post18 choices and who will be starting University in September, I understand how important the help and support provided by Higher Education institutions can be for young people and their families.

In my spare time I enjoy organising fundraising events to support Sheffield’s local cancer charities, cooking and spending time with my family.
