Description

Aerospace engineering covers all aspects of the research, design, development, construction and flight of aircraft. Come along to this taster session to see if aerospace engineering could be the right course for you.

Aerospace Engineering: From Kites to Satellites

Like the industry, aerospace engineering at Sheffield is interdisciplinary. You'll be taught by experts in aerospace materials, aerodynamics, flight control systems, avionics, aircraft design, aero propulsion, management and applied mathematics.

This talk is no exception. Simon’s expertise is in aerospace materials and he will explore the history of flight and how it has progressed over the years with you.

You will hear from our current students about their learning experiences and have a chance to ask any questions to both Simon and our students.

This session is suitable for students in years 12 and 13.

The session helped me understand more about what the course includes and steps to take before university study.
