Description

We address issues like climate change, energy poverty, affordable medicine, sustainable agriculture and green manufacturing.

With a dynamic learning environment and global industrial research collaborations, we prepare tomorrow's engineers today.

Come along to this taster session to see if chemical engineering could be the right course for you.

Optimising your future with Chemical Engineering

This session will explain what chemical engineers do and how their work is impacting global issues like energy and sustainability.

You will have the opportunity to design a bioethanol production plant and explore the trade-offs between manufacturing costs and the quality of the product.

Finally, we will discuss the process of applying to the University of Sheffield, and our student ambassadors will answer your questions about moving to university.

This session is suitable for students in years 12 and 13.

It's a great experience to get a deeper understanding about the subject you want to do, especially friends who are not sure what they want to do in university yet.
