Taster days

Our online taster days help Year 12 students experience what it is like to study at the University of Sheffield.

UK universities, including the University of Sheffield, are currently responding to the global outbreak of coronavirus. Our top priority is always the wellbeing of those who make up our wider community across the globe, and that includes students looking to study at the University of Sheffield in the future.
 
Due to this ongoing situation we have created content for virtual taster sessions, detailed below.

We cannot guarantee places for all applications as each pupil must meet the minimum academic criteria in order to be eligible to participate in the day.

In the event that there are more applications than there are available places, the Taster day team will assess all application forms and make decisions on the most suitable candidates based on predetermined scoring criteria.

Access Travel Bursary

This bursary will refund standard coach or rail travel for eligible prospective students plus one guest, or a mileage allowance for car travel.
