Fundraise for the University of Sheffield

Fundraising walks have taken place at Sheffield since 2015

In the last six years, members of staff, alumni, students and friends of the University have raised over £600,000 to support a wide range of areas including research projects, student scholarships and student clubs and societies.

Our wonderful supporters have organised or taken part in any number of activities – they have run, hiked, cycled, rowed, baked cakes, boxed, skydived, held garden parties, curry nights, quizzes … the list is constantly growing.

Some have raised funds to say thank you for having benefited from some of our world-leading medical research, some have wanted to support their sports club, others have wanted to raise money in memory of a family member or friend.

What can I fundraise for?

Our current appeal

Our current fundraising appeal is in support of Sheffield Scholarships.

Scholarships are vital in levelling the playing field to ensure that everyone, regardless of background, has the opportunity to go to university.

A cause of your own

If there is a cause or area of research you are passionate about we can help you support it.

Sheffield is a world-leader in research into neuroscience, cancer, and environmental sustainability to name just a few. If you want to support research here at Sheffield we are here to help you raise as much as possible and to ensure it reaches the relevant teams.

Take a look at the stories below to see some of the causes other people have chosen to support.

Whatever the cause, 100% of the money you raise will always go to the cause you choose.
