These publications, 17 single news-sheets issued under various imprints, recount the progress of the Allied armies in France over a three-week period from the struggle for the Liberation of Paris (August 25th 1944), together with a Victory issue celebrating the end of the War following the full German surrender (May 7th 1945).

They were presented to the Library by Miss Madeleine Blaess, after WWII Lecturer and later Senior Lecturer in French at the University of Sheffield, who, as a British citizen studying at the Sorbonne, was by force of circumstances marooned in Paris during the Occupation.
