This course can involve a research project in a real-world organisation, which will demand effective communication, negotiation and project management skills.
Recent research projects include a performance management project for a large organisation, working with a company in the insurance sector on change management, and a review of a law firm’s reward system.
If you’re already eligible for the British Psychological Society’s (BPS) Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, you can study for this MSc. The degree is recognised by the BPS. It helps you on your way towards chartered psychologist status.
If you’re not eligible for BPS membership, you can take the MSc Work Psychology. This degree is not recognised by the BPS but it will help you develop the skills you need for research and practice as an occupational psychologist.

I was attracted by the small class sizes and combination of the interactive teaching programme and research project within an organisation to provide real-world work experience.
2:1 honours degree in psychology, with significant coverage of research methods and statistics topics. You must be eligible for the BPS’s Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC).
If you’re not eligible, you can apply for the MSc Work Psychology.
English language requirements
Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
