Multi-university team wins contract to evaluate two government funded trials

A team from Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds and Southampton have been successful in winning the following contract:

Parry, G, Barkham, M, Brazier, J., Kendrick, A, Bower, P., Lovell, K.,Rick, J., Hardy, G., Walter, S., Dent-Brown, K. 'A proposal to evaluate a new model improving access to psychological therapies'. The total award is £449,346 although not all of this will be spent by Sheffield. This project is to evaluate two government funded trials based on Lord Layard's economic proposal for developing psychological treatment centres aimed at saving £9bn from Incapacity Benefits.
