Our foundation year programme provides mature students with non-standard entry qualifications a thorough and supportive academic preparation for successful degree level study in the School of Psychology.

Accreditation

Our undergraduate courses are accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which means that you’ll cover all the topics and training that you need to complete the first steps towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.

Flexibility

If you don't apply for our placement year programme, but decide that you'd like to spend a year on a work placement as part of your psychology degree, you can join the programme once you embark on your placement hunt.

Harriet spent her placement year working as a researcher in the Neurology Department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. Spending a year on placement allowed Harriet to be involved in NHS research into Multiple Sclerosis and gain professional experience in the field that she hopes to work in in the future.

International undergraduate scholarships

We offer a generous package of financial support for international undergraduate students, including scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee.
