Profile

Haonan received his Bachelor's degree in Xi'an Jiaotong University, majoring in Economics and Trade. He has interned in the finance and accounting departments of CETC Group Co., CITIC Bank and Meet Hive Intelligence Co., Ltd. before he received his Master's degree in the University of Sheffield. After graduation, he has been working as a research assistant in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) on carbon neutrality, climate change and land use dynamics, led by Professor Luoye Chen. Now he is researching on the labour market dynamics in the UK care sector as a PhD student.

Research interests

My research topics will focus on the care sector labour market issues, such as occupational choice, entry decisions, turnover rates and the dynamic decision-making process of the labour force, my goal is to explore the underlying mechanisms that govern individuals' behaviours and shape the labour market today. I am also rather interested in economic theories, structural models, econometrics designs and related algorithms.
