Alex McFarlane wins prestigious scholarship to attend U.S. conference

Alex McFarlane's research is focused on biofilm development in aircraft fuel distribution systems.

Alex has been awarded a scholarship to present his findings at the IASH 2015 14th International Symposium on Stability, Handling and Use of Liquid Fuels in Charleston, South Carolina, USA.

The scholarship is given in open competition to scientists and engineers who submit the best papers and posters for presentation at the conference. Alex's paper was considered by the Awards Committee to be the second best manuscript submitted for review.

His award covers travel, accommodation and registration costs to the attend the conference. Alex will present his work as a poster at the conference in October.
