Staff password recovery

If you're a member of staff and forget your password, you will require a password reset. To request this, you will either need to attend IT Services in person, or call the Service Desk.

On

In person

You can request a password reset in person at the following locations:

  • The Computing Centre on Hounsfield Road, S3 7RF - open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.
  • The TechBar on Level 1 of the Information Commons, S3 7RD - open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm.

You will need to bring your UCard with you to verify your identity, so that a password reset can be issued.

Over the phone

Alternatively, you can call the Service Desk on 0114 222 1111 (open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm).

During this call, you will be required to complete your identity verification before the password can be reset.

AMRC staff

If you're a member of staff at the AMRC, please liaise directly with local IT colleagues.

Change password

If you know your password but want to change it, you can do this in account management.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Having problems logging in with MFA due to changing your device? You can manage your registered MFA devices in the Device Management Portal.
