The collection consists of CDs and DVDs (audio and video) of recorded interviews with practitioners from the alternative theatre movement in Britain in the late 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s, along with related material.
The Unfinished Histories Project is a collaboration between theatre curator Susan Croft, director and voice coach Jessica Higgs, and In Tandem TC.
The alternative theatre movement involved Black and Asian, lesbian and gay, women´s, political, community-based, educational and disabled theatre groups and companies, who promoted a wide range of theatrical styles and many new playwrights, as well as bringing theatre to non-traditional audiences.
