Millennium Galleries, Sheffield City Centre
12-14 July 2023

Our EPSRC funding includes delivery of a series of Summer Schools, offering intensive training to doctoral researchers in topics pertinent to the grand challenges in engineering manufacturing. Our 2022 Summer School introduced Industry 4.0, and this year's theme is Entrepreneurship and Innovation; a topic often overlooked during doctoral research, but is a key employability enabler and skill-set.

Facilitated by external experts and University specialists, this unique 3-day course is aimed at postgraduate researchers, in any year of their doctorate project, looking to learn about entrepreneurial and innovation methodology. You'll gain insight and confidence to act on commercialisation opportunities, learn to integrate entrepreneurial thinking into your practice, and expand your research success.

This exciting course is heavily subsidised by our funding, meaning that whilst it is valued at £500 per person for the three days, we're able to offer it to non-AMSCDT members for just £195 per person, including midday and evening meals
