Eleanor Bragg

I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2021 with a BSc Geography degree. As a local lass to Sheffield, I’ve visited the city countless times and knew I wanted to study here, and I’ve never looked back since. It helped as well that the Department of Geography boasts world class teaching and leading research in environmentalism and sustainability; something I aspire to pursue later on in life.

As a Geography student I found it pretty astonishing that I’d never left the UK, so as a member of Geography Society I jumped at the opportunity to fly to Budapest and Prague after my course exams in 2019 and 2020. Alongside my degree I worked as a Student Ambassador working on open days, leading guided campus tours, and mentoring secondary school students; all of which allowed me to gain valuable experience and strengthen my skills as well as broaden my knowledge in everything University.

This is why I’m excited about my role as a Student Recruitment Assistant to assist, provide information to and guide prospective students in beginning their university journey, and commence, in my opinion, the best time of their lives.

When I’m not working, you can catch me in a rain mac wandering in the middle of the Peaks, tasting anything on the drinks menu in any bar in Sheffield, or booking my next city break.
