Bingxue graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2017 with an MSc in Economics. Then, she completed another master's degree with Arts in SMI, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC); her PhD started in 2018 and is also funded by ESRC (ESRC 1+3 programme) at the University of Sheffield. Her research topic is named Towards A Welfare Model of Trade and FDI with Oligopolistic Competition. She endeavoured to understand the welfare effect of trade and horizontal FDI and how large they will be through constructing the theoretical models with oligopolistic competition and firm heterogeneity; she also did some numerical simulation analysis for this study. Bingxue also now takes charge of uploading working papers as a research admin in the Department of Economics.
