Lucas Pahl joined the University of Sheffield as a Lecturer in Economics in 2024. Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Hausdorff Institute for Mathematics and the Institute for Microeconomics at the University of Bonn. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of Rochester, with a thesis focused on mathematical and foundational problems in game theory. His current research is focused on mathematical game theory, especially on the theory of refinements of equilibria and its interactions with fixed point theory and real algebraic geometry.
