Following the success of the two previous events, I’m delighted to announce the return of the Practical Engineering Education Conference in 2024. I’m excited that the early planning indicates this instalment will be the most engaging and inspirational yet. In a time where there is increased industry demand for practical skills and universities face the challenge of accommodating larger student cohorts with leaner resources, this conference is relevant and timely. We are committed to elevating the importance of hands-on engineering within extensive educational frameworks. This event strengthens the movement and will fortify our presence in these networks.

Professor Claire Lucas: Revolutionising Engineering Pedagogy Professor of Engineering Teaching and Learning at King’s College London, Professor Lucas brings extensive experience in engineering education research. Dr Brett Becker: Exploring the Impact of Generative AI in Engineering Education Assistant Professor at University College Dublin, Dr Becker's expertise lies in computing education research. His keynote will delve into the transformative potential of generative AI in engineering education.
