Each department has a librarian who works with you to support your teaching and research. Talk to your librarian about any of the services outlined below:

Programme and module design

By working with programme design teams at the outset we can advise on the options for making teaching material available.  Get in touch with your librarian to discuss the options for providing books, journals and other reading to support your teaching in the most effective way. If we don't have the resources you need, please raise with us at the earliest opportunity. We can also work with you to integrate research skills into modules and assignments to support student progression at the most appropriate point. Examples of research skills include finding authoritative sources, effective literature searching and referencing.

Tailored sessions for your students

If you have a specific requirement for a webinar, workshop or a lecture to help with the development of research skills and tailored to the needs of your module we would be happy to discuss this with you.

Feedback and assessment

Make use of our online tutorials, for example on literature searching and referencing, and embed them in Blackboard. The Quick Marks feature in Turnitin enables you to incorporate these in your feedback.  See Developing your students' research skills.
