The University of Sheffield has featured in all 11 categories across the StudentCrowd University Awards 2023. This includes ranking as the #1 Best University for Teaching Quality, Clubs & Societies and Students’ Union. As well as these winning positions, the university also featured in the top 10 for every other category, most notably #2 for Best UK Universities.
The University is the only institution ranking in the top 10 of every category in the StudentCrowd University Awards 2023, marking an all-round success.

This is the third year in a row that Sheffield Students’ Union has placed on top in its StudentCrowd award category. The University has significantly improved on its overall category 2022 ranking, moving from #16 Best UK University in 2022, to #2 Best UK University in 2023.
The StudentCrowd University Awards are the only independent awards based entirely on verified ac.uk student reviews. This means students at the University of Sheffield have considered their experiences worthy of praise.

StudentCrowd analysed a total of 24,041 university reviews to select the top 20 across 11 different categories. The winners are selected based on their average review score over the 24-month period from June 2021 to May 2023. The average review scores are across our university, course and accommodation review categories.
