Emotional Bonds

In association with the Hang Seng CentrePoster for Emotional Bonds series

A new series of events exploring current research on social and affective cognition.

In the last 30 years, cognitive science has undergone a “social-affective turn”, which has resulted in a whole host of ground-breaking discoveries on emotions, moods, social norms, and morality. In this series of events, a number of distinguished, international scholars will present their current research on social and affective cognition. Given the interdisciplinary nature of this research field, these events will be of great interest for students and scholars across humanities, social sciences, as well as medical and natural sciences.

The events will take place at the University of Sheffield between March and July 2019 and each event will comprise of:

  1. An exploratory reading group where we'll read a key work of the speaker.
  2. Talk and Q&A by the speaker
  3. A seminar with students together with the speaker
