Access+ Travel Bursary Terms & Conditions
The Access+ Travel Bursary aims to provide a financial contribution towards travel costs incurred by prospective students to attend our open days and offer holder open days. Effective from 1 June 2025.
The bursary is offered as part of our commitment to ensure that students who wish to visit our University are able to do so, therefore enabling them to make an informed decision on where they wish to study.
We want to see as many of you as possible at our open days and offer holder open days. We have a limited fund and want to make sure as many of you as possible could have some contribution towards your costs for visiting us so we’ve changed the way we offer this.
- The Access+ Travel Bursary is available for visits to undergraduate open days and offer holder days.
- Your application must be received within two weeks of the date of your visit to the University.
- Distance travelled will be calculated by the University when processing your claim, using latitude and longitude, to calculate the straight-line distance.
- Access+ Travel Bursary is only available for travel within the UK.
- Verification of attendance will be checked against attendance at your pre-booked subject activities - please ensure you register on the day. If you are unable to register at your subject talk, please make yourself known at our Access Sheffield stand in the Information Fair so that we can record your attendance.
- If we are unable to verify your attendance we will be unable to process a claim for the Travel Bursary.
