Mathematics is a powerful toolkit for solving all kinds of quantitative problems in science and engineering – but it’s also much more besides. Lots of people are drawn to maths because they enjoy the hard work and creativity that goes into solving problems. In this problem solving session, you can work with Dr Dimitrios Roxanas (University Teaching Associate in Mathematics) to tackle some challenging, but very satisfying maths problems.
There will also be a chance for you to find out more about being a maths student at The University of Sheffield, and where a degree in maths can take you. You will hear from some of our current students, a careers guide, and a member of our admissions team, who will all be on hand to answer any questions you might have about studying maths at university.
