Maths taster session
This taster session is suitable for students studying A Level Mathematics with an interest in studying Mathematics and Statistics at university.

Experience mathematics and statistics at the University of Sheffield
A free virtual taster session for students.

Age group: Year 12, Year 13, A Level, BTEC
Our taster session has been designed to give A Level mathematicians the chance to experience what it's like to study mathematics and statistics at university. We'll introduce you to areas of mathematics you might not have explored before, tell you about some of the most interesting puzzles you can use mathematics to solve, and maybe get you thinking about mathematics in a completely different way. The session will include workshops with our lecturers, who can give you useful mathematics tips and advice on applying for your degree. You'll also be able to learn more about studying at the University of Sheffield and can chat to some of our current students.
