I am originally from Damascus, Syria. In 2010 I graduated from IUST University with first class honours BSc in Pharmacy. I came to the UK in Oct 2011 to pursue my MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology and I have graduated with distinction. The title of my MSc project was “A comparative study of the effect of spray drying and hot-melt extrusion on the properties of amorphous solid dispersions containing felodipine”. To enhance my experience and knowledge in the field of pharmaceutical industry I joined Particle Products Group at The University of Sheffield in Oct 2014.
I began my PhD in October 2014 at the University of Sheffield in the Particle Products Groups under the supervision of Prof Agba Salman. My research is focused on Dry granulation which is one of the main formulation techniques used in the pharmaceutical industry, my research work will involve the fundamental understanding of mechanisms of agglomeration in the roller compactor in order to improve resultant particle characteristics and to improve the efficiency of the process.
