China-UK Business Research Association | 中英商务研究协会
Open to any UK-based businesses and organisations. The China-UK Business Research Association aims to utilise cutting-edge business research and intellectual achievements into serving and promoting trade, culture and language exchanges between the UK and China.
The China-UK Business Research Association is affiliated with the Confucius Institute at the University of Sheffield.
Bringing together renowned business researchers and experts from the Academy of International Business (UK and Ireland Chapter) 国际商务学会英国和爱尔兰分会, and the British Academy of Management 英国管理学会, as well as top British and Chinese universities, the association aims to utilise cutting-edge business research and intellectual achievements into serving and promoting trade, culture and language exchanges between the two countries.
We would like to invite business researchers, as well as experts from top British and Chinese universities, business academies and research institutes, to join in.
What do we do?
- Investigate business environments in China and UK and their business implications.
- Explore Chinese firms’ strategies and behaviours within their internationalisation (including Green Field investments and Merge and Acquisitions).
- Offer intellectual supports, typically including consultancy, legal advice and research reports, to business communication and investment collaboration between Chinese and British firms.
- Provide language and cultural training courses to business and cultural exchanges between Chinese and British enterprises.
The China-UK Business Research Association consists of the Management Board and the Expert Board.
The Management Board is responsible for strategic decision-making and the operations of the centre, which includes the Chair, Deputy Chair, Director and Co-Director, Association Secretary General and Co-Secretary General, and Director of the Expert Board.
The Board invites additional candidates to join when appropriate.
The Expert Board provides research support, and the researchers and experts at this Association will be identified and invited by the Director of the Expert Board.
