Certificates 2022

If you attend your graduation ceremony in person, your certificate will be given to you on the day. If you do not attend, your certificate will be sent to you following graduation, provided you have registered as not attending and provided a postal address.

Off

The Events Team will email you in due course regarding your certificate and you will be directed to complete an online registration form which allows you to confirm the postal address for your certificate.

Printed name

When you open up the online registration form, your name will be shown. This is taken from your student record and will be the name printed in the graduation ceremony programme and on your certificate.

If your name is incorrect, do not register for graduation until you have had it corrected. You should contact the Student Services Information Desk (SSiD) with documentary evidence (e.g: originals of either your deed poll document, passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate) and then your student record will be amended. Only then should you register your graduation intentions. Please ensure that you register by the deadline as this date cannot be extended.

Eligibility

You are expected to register the postal address for your certificate before results are published. This means that in order to graduate in absentia and receive your certificate you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must register your postal address by the deadline of to be confirmed.
  • You must successfully complete your programme of study.
  • Your examination results must have been submitted to the Student Administration Service by their deadline (your department or the Student Administration Service can provide you with information relating to their deadlines).
  • You must have no outstanding Tuition Fee debts to the University.

Please complete the registration form on the assumption that you will successfully complete your studies. Receiving an email inviting you to register your postal address does not imply you have been successful; we invite all students who may successfully complete in time. If, when we receive the examination results, you have not successfully completed, we will automatically remove your postal address from our records.

Only those students whose record shows that they are in their final year and have an 'Expected End Date' of June 2022 will be able to register their postal address.
