Profile

I'm currently working as a research associate on the research project entitled Nature’s Way: Co-Creating Methods for Innovating Nature-based Solutions for Public Health and Green Recovery in a Post-COVID World (https://spaces.rca.ac.uk/naturesway/). This project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) to co-create, pilot and disseminate an innovative approach to Nature-based Solutions that connects people to nature for health and wellbeing during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

My PhD study explored the role of neighbourhood outdoor space in urban China in supporting older people's outdoor activities to enable them to age-in-place independently and healthily. Interview and observation methods were used to collect data. This study helps researchers and policymakers to understand the factors that influence older people’s experiences in their communities and use of outdoor spaces. It presents the complexity and diversity of older people's outdoor activities in their residential communities and neighbourhood outdoor spaces.
