Autumn 2016 edition of PhilonoUS journal released

Philonous cover

The second edition of the Sheffield Undergraduate Journal of Philosophy, PhilonoUS, was released on 12 January 2017.

The journal was set up by Sheffield undergraduate Philosophy students last year to showcase some of the best undergraduate work from Sheffield and other national and international undergraduate students. It is now run by a substantial editorial team of enthusiastic Sheffield undergraduates, who are to be congratulated on another great edition of the journal.

The second edition features a selection of undergraduate papers and interviews with Professor Elizabeth Barnes (University of Virginia) and Professor Eric Olson (University of Sheffield).

Michael Chilton and Emma Shephard, Third Year Undergraduates and the Editors-in-Chief, write:

"After the success of our first issue we wanted to continue to push for undergraduates to showcase their best work in this edition of the journal. As we found previously, undergraduates from all around the world have written outstanding papers on a wide variety of philosophical topics. This variation is again evident within this edition; we have insightful papers discussing topics ranging from education to indicative conditionals. Again, we have been amazed at the standard of philosophical inquiry that demonstrates to us that undergraduates have much to offer the philosophical community."
