Alex Berry

Alex has overall responsibility for the Professional Services team and their work within the school.

Her responsibilities include:

• Working with the school's executive team to set its strategic direction.
• Ensuring planning decisions are operationalised and managed through the school's professional systems and structures.
• Working with the dean of the school on academic, financial and resource planning.
• Leading and managing the school's Professional Services team.
• Coordinating and managing the development of all procedures relating to research, learning and teaching, human resources, external relations, finance, and estates and facilities.
• Collaborating with other school managers and faculty colleagues and contributing to faculty projects.

Alex has worked at the University of Sheffield since 2013 and has over 20 years of experience in higher education, holding a variety of roles in management, administration, and student support.

She is an experienced Study Skills teacher, having previously been a module leader for modules at Level 0 and at Level 4 at the University.
