The story was covered in The Star newspaper (16 June 2021) under the headline ‘City wins award for promoting healthy and sustainable food’.

Peter Jackson, co-Director of the Institute of Sustainable Food at the University of Sheffield said, "Gareth has been a key contributor to our ‘Planet to Plate’ festival, celebrating the work of the Institute for Sustainable Food.  Gareth is also a partner on our H3 project (Healthy soil, Healthy food, Healthy people’) which is part of UKRI’s ‘Transforming UK food systems’ programme. The award recognises the work that ShefFood has been doing, making a difference to people’s lives every day.  We are proud to be associated with their work and we share their commitment to a more socially just and environmentally sustainable food system."
