Degree: MSc Human Anatomy with Education

Annalise started as an undergraduate biomedical science student here in Sheffield. She now teaches level 2 students on the course as part of her MSc Human Anatomy with Education studies.

"After completing my undergraduate degree here in biomedical science, I just couldn't leave. Sheffield feels like home as it's such a friendly city and fantastic place to live.

"I've always loved anatomy, and knew this was something I wanted to pursue, the facilities here are fantastic as it's one of few universities offering full cadaveric dissection along with a huge variety of resources, such as plastinated specimens, to aid learning.

"I have absolutely loved the Human Anatomy MSc so far. I have been able to learn in an explorative way through weekly cadaveric dissection, which is a fascinating experience. This course is the first to offer FHEA accreditation which is supported through opportunities to teach level 2 biomedical science students on a weekly basis. By teaching regularly and exploring new learning strategies in weekly tutorials, I have been able to continually improve my pedagogical skills.

"I think it's fantastic having such a small group for this course, I've found learning to be much more engaging, and my peers have become the best group of friends I could hope for."
