We support schools in understanding Chinese language and culture through a range of different activities including workshop packages like our "China Day" activities for both primary schools and secondary schools.
Cultural Engagement through China Day
Our China Day initiative supports schools in introducing students to Chinese language and culture through a dynamic range of activities and workshop packages. Designed for both primary and secondary schools, China Day serves as an engaging and educational way to enhance extra-curricular offerings with a unique focus on Chinese culture.
Objective
Our mission is to broaden UK students' understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture and language, providing an immersive experience that goes beyond the classroom.
Organizing a China Day
To organize a China Day at your school:
- Select Workshops: Choose from our diverse list of activities and workshops tailored to engage and educate.
- Schedule: Arrange a convenient day (or two) for the activities to take place.
- Book Instructors: Secure our skilled instructors to lead the workshops, ensuring a genuine and enriching cultural experience.
Workshop Details
Each workshop lasts approximately 50 minutes, with the possibility of arranging up to five workshops in a single day, per instructor. This allows for a rotation among different student groups, maximizing exposure and participation.

For an enriching China Day, consider booking the following workshops:
- Chinese Language Taster
- Demystifying Chinese Characters
- Chinese Brush Calligraphy
- Chinese Arts and Crafts
- Chinese Folk Dance
- Tai Chi
- Music and Songs
- Language and Storytelling
- Chinese Cookery (Note: Currently on hold due to COVID-19 precautions. Ingredient costs are borne by the school. A list of ingredients, including dietary options, will be provided in advance.)
Costing
We aim to make these cultural experiences accessible while maintaining the quality of delivery:
- Half-Day Rate: £90 (morning or afternoon sessions)
- Full-Day Rate: £160 per instructor
- Note: Travel expenses incurred by instructors will be the responsibility of the school.
