"China Day" Activities/Workshops

中 国 日

China day in the classroomChina Day

China-themed activity at school is probably the easiest way to engage an interest and to raise awareness of Chinese culture through enhanced extra-curricular provision, giving a unique experience for school pupils.

With the objective of supporting a golden era in UK-China relations, our aim is to educate the UK school pupils in relation to China, its culture and its language.

How to organise a China Day: School selects several different workshops in a day and book our instructors to lead the activities.

Workshops are generally no longer than 50 minutes per session, with maximum of 5 workshops per day per instructor. For example, 5 workshops can be rotated for 5 groups of pupils in a day.

Book one or more of the following workshops for a China Day at your School:
Chinese language and culture
• Chinese calligraphy
• Chinese arts & crafts
• Chinese folk dance
• Kung Fu
• Tai Chi
• Music and Songs
• Storytelling
• Chinese cookery *

Costs of the ingredients will be passed on to school. We will provide a list of ingredients in advance once we receive the total number of participants and dietary requirements from school. Please note that pork meat is usually used for the Chinese dumpling filling unless a vegetarian option has been selected.

All of the above activities are charged at nominal cost, £60/half-day (before or after 12:00 noon) and £100/full day per instructor. Travel expenses incurred will be passed onto school.
