PhD project

Title: "Information literacy conceptions among medical undergraduate students: A case study of the Faculty of Medicine, Kuwait University"

Curently I am doing a research on Information Literacy (IL) conceptions in the medical field particularly to see how IL can be percieved by medical students of the Faculty of Medicine at Kuwait Univerisy (KU) with the aim of developing IL model for medical students.

Moreover, the study also seeks to explore the status of IL education in the Faculty of Medicine at KU to determine medical students' IL needs and requirements. The conception of IL can be experienced differently in different context and therefore this resaerch attemts to figure out the best practices of IL that suit the nature of medical students in the context of medicine at KU. IL plays a significant role in success of a wide range of pedagogical approaches and thus this study also tries to investigate the importance of IL skills in educational approaches such as problem-based learning (PBL) which is widely used within the Faculty of Medicine at KU.
