Title: The Stuart Johnstone Collection

Scope: This collection contains photographs of rides, fairgrounds, traction engines and organs taken by a number of individuals as well as detailed notebooks. His notebooks are essentially digested versions of the World's Fair and include chronological guides to fairs, machines for sale, parks, engines and families.

Administrative / biographical history: Stuart Johnstone was a key member of the Friendship Circle of Showland Fans (FCSF). He edited the Merry-go-Round during its final years in the mid sixties. He was also the World's Fair newspaper correspondent called 'Coltswold'.
