Description

Online Open Morning for BAME applicants to Clinical Psychology Training featuring guest speaker Dr Roberta Babb

Dr Roberta Babb will be joining us as guest speaker to share her career journey in Clinical Psychology as a black woman and facilitate a session demystifying the skills of reflection and critical thinking, exploring how these skills can be practically applied.

Dr Babb is a Chartered & Registered Clinical Psychologist, Media Psychologist, Life Coach and Organisational Consultant. She has also worked in the public sector and private sector for over 17 years.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A.

In addition, there will be trainees and tutors present from each of the three Universities (Universities of Hull, Leeds and Sheffield) who will facilitate small group discussions.

After the success of previous events, the three Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Psychology Training Programmes invite graduates* who identify as belonging to BAME† communities who are interested in a Career in Clinical Psychology to join us for this year's event.

Data and experience show that people from BAME communities continue to be under-represented in the profession of Clinical Psychology.

We encourage attendance from individuals who intend to apply for training within the Yorkshire & Humber region.

*'Graduates' includes those graduating in 2021
†This is a targeted event complying with section 158 of the Equality Act (2010)
