Current role: Research Technician, Department of Biomedical Science, The University of Sheffield

"I have always been really interested in science and medicine and this course was perfect for me. The practical modules gave me loads of relevant lab experience and the lecture modules were diverse and interesting.

"The opportunity to go to seminars and lectures, from internal and external speakers really broadened my scientific knowledge.

"Sheffield is a wonderful place to live; it has loads of natural beauty as well as all the perks of being a city with great train links to the rest of the country and I made some great friends whilst here.

"I was lucky enough to be offered a research position in the lab where I completed my research project, so am currently continuing with research I started for my dissertation, looking at SHH signalling in cerebellar development."
