Profile

Previously, I have taught English as a second language (ESL) in Hong Kong and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) in in sessional and pre-sessional courses in the UK. Currently, I am the Graduate Teaching Associate for the undergraduate module EGH332 Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

Qualifications
  • MA Applied Linguistics with TESOL, University of Sheffield
  • CELTA, Cambridge University Press & Assessment English
Research interests

I am interested in exploring how typological similarity between L1s and linguistic microvariation(s) between L1s and L2 English impact the acquisition of surface-phrasal and -clausal predicative comparatives in L2 English.
