If you are interested in conducting postdoctoral research in the School of Law, please contact the Research Support Hub in the first instance by emailing
fss-researchhub2@sheffield.ac.uk, with the following information:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (max. 2 pages)
  2. Outline research proposal (max. 2 pages) - including aims, research questions, methods and outputs
  3. Who your proposed mentor/supervisor would be.
  4. Which externally funded postdoctoral fellowship/s you are interested in applying for (see list below), and ensure that you have checked that you are eligible for the fellowship/s. Please read the scheme guidance carefully because each fellowship has different application requirements and eligibility criteria.

The University runs internal competitions for most major postdoctoral schemes in order to select the strongest applicants. With this in mind, you are advised to contact us as early as possible so that we can work with you to develop a competitive application.
