The Broadcast and Political Communication students also visited Sky News, Reuters and the BBC.

Both groups also spent a day in the Palace of Westminster where they watched Prime Minister’s Question Time in the House of Commons and had briefings with politicians and journalists including Nick Clegg MP, Ann Widdecombe MP and Andrew Grice, political editor of the Independent.

The trips give the students an insight into the workings of some of the biggest newsrooms in the UK and have become an established and enjoyable part of the MA courses.
