The University looks forward to welcoming researchers and teachers in Czech and Slovak studies for the UK Czech and Slovak Studies Forum's second annual workshop, sponsored by the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies, the Czech and Slovak embassies in London, and the School of Languages and Cultures at Sheffield.

Morning session for language teachers

9.00 – 10.30 language teaching session, 15 min. ea. for sharing of methods/materials
10.30 – 11.00 summary and discussion with Embassy

Main session for all participants

11.00 – 11.30 coffee and arrival of staff from other universities, etc.

11.30 – 1.00 Introductions and research activity - PGR presentations

1.00 – 1.45 Lunch

1.45 – 3.15 Slovak literature forum: reading and discussion

3.15 – 3.30 Break  

3.30 - 4.45 Collaborative perspectives on research in our field(s)

5.00 onwards: pub (Old Queen's Head, 40 Pond Hill, S1 2BG) - 5 minutes' walk from the railway station
