Studying architecture

Our school pioneers new approaches to architectural education underpinned by our world-class research. As well as Part 1 Architecture courses we also offer Part 2 courses and one-year masters as well as the opportunity to undertake PhD study.

SUAS

Sheffield University Architecture Society, SUAS, is the student-run society that brings together the study of architecture. There's also specialist societies for dual students, Archiscape for dual Architecture and Landscape students and Architeers for dual Structural Engineering and Architecture students.

Simeon Shtebunaev collects his award as Young Planner of the Year

Graduate is Young Planner of the Year!

Simeon Shtebunaev, who studied both BA and MArch here, has been named as Young Planner of the Year by the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Commendation for Emily in Denis Mason Jones sketching competition

Emily entered a sketch into the Denis Mason Jones sketching competition, held by the West Yorkshire Society of Architects (WYSA). Emily's sketch showed Park Hill Flats - a location in central Sheffield that our current students will be familiar with.

Exhibitions

Our Exhibitions

The highlight of our year is our end of year exhibition, normally held in June. Our students showcase the work they've been doing, and we invite employers to a preview before the official opening. We also take part of the exhibition to London. In winter we also host an exhibition for our final year undergraduates to showcase their work.
